Fashionbeat Goes Down Under

What better way to escape the miserable London weather yesterday afternoon, than to escape into a haven of Aussie sunshine. The fashionbeat team hid from the rain in The Austrailian Embassy, and with the cream of British press enjoyed the delights on show at 'Australian Style in London' presented by the Austrailian Trade commission.
The show displayed twenty of the brightest antipodean fashion labels. Amoung them Stephanie Conley showed a beautiful selection of well-cut, wearable dress and jackets in vintage style fabrics, her stuff is already available in this country at the boutique Austique on Kings road.(www.stephanieconley.com).
In a completey diferent vien was Manik Mercian (www.manikmercian.com), a collection of extreme, crystal dancer pieces, and a portfolio that included the Victoria Secrets Christmas show, and bespoke pieces for the likes of Beyonce, Debbie Harry and Dita Von Teese. An inspiring collection of Jewellery, and body pieces that although were very sexy, may be a bit nippy away frm the Oz climate.
